About WWF
WWF is the world’s leading independent conservation organisation. As an international network, we aim to build a future in which people live in harmony with nature and have set ourselves three challenges: to safeguard the natural world, tackle climate change, and help change the way we live, so people can live within the planet’s limited natural resources. To achieve this, WWF works with governments, businesses and communities in the UK and throughout the world.
WWF recognises that wildlife, the environment and human activity are all interlinked. So helping to preserve rainforests like the Amazon will protect the endangered species that live there. But this can’t be achieved without providing sustainable livelihoods for the people who rely on them. Climate change is also a vital part of our work, because it represents an increasing threat to so many of the planet’s species – including our own.
WWF is positive about the future. We believe we can all make a difference if we work together. So governments and businesses around the world need to take action. But individuals must also play a full role in protecting our environment, the natural world.
